Ilfracombe Regatta 21st August

Camping and storing of Gigs on Friday and Saturday night

We have  moved the camping to Ilfracombe Rugby Club -  the address is Chambercombe Park Road, Ilfracombe EX34 9QN to find,  Head into Ilfracombe then take road to Hele Bay, the Rugby Club is next door to the leisure centre. If  it is wet then cars and trailer will have to be parked in the Leisure centre but camping will be fine on the rugby pitch.  The reason for changing is they have hot showers.

Friday night

There is a leaving party for Andy Putt the lifeboat cox in the Yacht Club so we will be in the Prince of Wales in  Fore Street if you would like to join us for a drink.   The Prince of Wales is behind the Lifeboat station.

07.30 - Erect Gazebo, put up BBQ and tables - (Lee Kift organsing)

08.00 - Gig start to arrive (Dion running)

08.00 - PA van arrives

08.30 - Bacon Butties to be served from Pier

08.00 - Buoys to be put out by Alan Kift to confirm position with Lee Kift  

10.30 -  Umpires Briefing at PA van

11.00 - Cox’s Briefing at PA van

11.30 - First Race Men’s B race 

12.00 - Ladies B

12.30  - Juniors

13.00 - Ladies A

13.30  - Mens A

14.00 - Ladies Vets

14.30 - Mens Vets

15.00 - C race

15.30 - Ladies Super Vets (may run Ladies and Mens Super Vets as one race depending on numbers)

16.00 - Mens Super Vets

16.30 - recovery crews to be in postion by end of C race. (Dion sorting)

17.00 - Mixed

17.30 - Mixed Race finishes   

17.30 - Safety boats etc back on Moorings

15.00 - After last race clear Gazebo and pier and move to Yacht club for presentation

18.00 - Presentation in Ilfracombe Yacht Club

19.00 - Chilli  in Yacht Club £3 a bowl ticket on sale during day.

20.00 - Entertainment starts.
